Raccoon Stare-down,
Materials: Sterling silver
Processes: Fabrication with self-gigging joint, depletion gilding

Concept: Perhaps my most memorable encounter with a raccoon was a stare-down in a alley between myself and a raccoon. I wanted to capture the moment where I turned the corner and the raccoon and I both stared at each other. In slow motion synchronization, we walked towards and past each other keeping eye contact all the while. I felt like I was in a Western movie, sizing up my enemy before a dual. The planes that make up the raccoon form hold the delicate tension of the moment.
